First steps in decoupage

Basics of the napkin technique

Decorative board
and wooden candle
with base

This course doesn’t involve dry theory. Napkin decoupage will become clear and simple as you master it step by step, creating two unique works.

No guesswork or mistakes, with an aesthetically pleasing result you’ll be very proud of.

Combine learning with making beautiful items that can be a gift or decoration in your home.

Discover the artist in you, even if you’ve never held a brush in your hand.

Imagine…

The morning sun streams into the kitchen. You’re making coffee, and your eyes rest on a charming wooden board, ripe with sweet, red strawberries or blooming fragrant lilacs. It looks as if it were painted by a master, even though you know it’s your own work.

In the evening, when the house becomes quiet, you light a tealight in an elegant, lavender candlestick.

A delicate flame illuminates the subtle lavender motif, and you feel a sense of peace. You created this yourself.

These two unique decorations, full of warmth and homely coziness, aren’t just a dream. They’re within your reach, because you’ll create them with me in this online course.

What will you create in the course?

Project 1. Board “Smile of Nature”

This board is the essence of summer. By learning how to create this project, you’ll learn how to prepare raw wood so that paint adheres perfectly. You’ll master a key technique – gluing a delicate napkin without creases or air bubbles. I’ll show you how to shade the background to make juicy fruit or flowers look lifelike, and finally, how to seal your work with varnish so it will last for years. It’s the perfect basic lesson that culminates in a stunning result.

“Even if you’ve never held a brush in your hand, this pattern will come out exactly like the picture.”

Project 2. “Lavender Peace” candlestick on a stand

The next step on your creative journey. This time, the challenge is greater – decorating the rounded, cylindrical surface of the candle holder and fitting it to the turned base. You’ll learn how to combine napkin motifs to create a cohesive, harmonious composition around the candle. You’ll create the base yourself and master the technique of painting it perfectly to complement the lavender motif. This candle holder with replaceable tealight inserts will become a favorite element of your evening rituals.

“Even if you think you have no manual skills, this project will prove to you how beautiful things you can create.”

I’ll give you a ready-made list with links to stores so you don’t have to wander around and buy anything unnecessary.

WHY IS THIS COURSE MORE THAN A TUTORIAL?

Maybe you’ve just seen beautiful decorations and thought, “How is this even done…?” Or maybe you feel like you want to try something new—something peaceful, creative, just for yourself… but you don’t know where to begin. You buy the materials… you save them… you try… and the results are wrinkles, you have no idea how to finish them, it doesn’t look very professional… The thought occurs, “I don’t think this is for me.”

The truth is, it’s not a matter of talent. It’s a lack of calm, structured knowledge from the ground up to guide you step by step.

From my many years of experience, I often also experience FEAR. I’m afraid I’ll mess it up, I’m afraid I won’t succeed…
Don’t be afraid… It will work! And beautifully!

I guide you so that:

  • you understand what you’re doing, “why you’re doing it this way and not another,”
  • you don’t have to guess what to use to achieve beautiful results,
  • you don’t waste materials,
  • and you create with pleasure from the very beginning.

You’re not just buying a video course. You’re buying that moment when your family asks in disbelief, “You really did that?” and that moment of peace you desperately need after a hard day.

You’re welcome to be inspired by the techniques and themes, but selling identical works or teaching the projects step-by-step is not permitted.
All my designs are protected by copyright law.

How much do the materials needed for the project cost?

The total cost of materials depends on the complexity of the project and the number of tools you’ll need – including silicone moulds for creating 3D elements.
If you’re just starting your creative journey and don’t yet have paints, mediums, or moulds, you should expect to spend up to several hundred PLN.

However, keep in mind that your paints and tools will serve you in many future projects, so think of this expense as an investment – one that can quickly pay off and bring you a lot of joy.
