Online Workshop – YEAR-ROUND
Jugs from a Tin Can
Tin Can Jugs is a creative project in the spirit of upcycling that demonstrates how to create a unique, decorative form from an ordinary tin can. It combines the simplicity of the material with a “wow” effect that delights with detail and aesthetic craftsmanship.
In one workshop, you’ll learn how to make two versions of the project – one with charming houses and an alternative version with a floral frame and decoupage element.
This project literally opens the door to creativity—it shows how you can create unique decorations from simple, everyday materials and develop your own style.
The resulting jugs can serve a variety of aesthetic purposes—as an original spring decoration, a flower box, or a plant pot cover.
During the workshop, you will learn how to work with a difficult surface such as sheet metal and see, step by step, how to transform it into a refined, stylish jug with a handle and a distinctive spout.
What will you learn?
✔️ How to create a jug from a tin can step by step.
✔️ How to prepare and decorate difficult-to-adhere surfaces such as sheet metal.
✔️ How to perform multi-stage decorative painting.
✔️ How to create and paint 3D elements using silicone molds.
✔️ How to achieve a whitewashed and distressed shabby chic effect.
✔️ How to make a handle and spout, giving the form a realistic feel.

How much do the materials needed for the project cost?
The total cost of materials depends on the complexity of the project and the number of tools you’ll need – including silicone moulds for creating 3D elements.
If you’re just starting your creative journey and don’t yet have paints, mediums, or moulds, you should expect to spend up to several hundred PLN.
However, keep in mind that your paints and tools will serve you in many future projects, so think of this expense as an investment – one that can quickly pay off and bring you a lot of joy.
